Ayden's 4 month check up.

Well we had Ayden's 4 month check up on Oct 7, 2011 and he is growing well.

Weight: 12lb 10oz
Length: 24 inches

He does have reflux which does cause him to spit up from time to time. It has been a little worse since Friday. He had his shots. He is meeting all of his milestones pretty well. Ayden can sit up by himself if he wants, loves to roll over, hates tummy time but that is pretty normal since birth. In the last couple of weeks he has been giggling and laughing more often. He is growing up so fast but am loving every minute of raising him and being a stay-at-home mom with him.

If are wondering where the post of Ayden's birth is here is the link to it.

Update on Ayden

Sorry that it has taken so so long to finally post one little Ayden....I'm still surprised as to how far we are in the pregnancy. We are going on 28 weeks as of Wednesday. I have had more then one Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic appointment. Sadly I have Gestational Diabetes. And have increased my metformin medication at night. My last appointment which was on Friday March 11, 2011 Ayden was measuring about a week behind sadly...That could be from the stress that has been going on here at the home we have been in since November. Hopefully with us moving the stress will go away and Ayden will catch up in growth. The next step is for me to go from Modified Bed Rest to Complete Bed Rest which is not good for me....I am still a pretty active person even though I am on the Modified Bed Rest. I have another appointment on the 22nd with Dr Monte and will go from there....Ayden is a very active little boy so that is really good news.

Half way there.

I still can't believe that I am 20 1/2 weeks with Ayden. We just had our 21 week appointment since tomorrow I will be 21 weeks. Ayden actually played nice in letting us hear his heartbeat today without kicking the doppler. His little heart was going 150 bpm. He is growing and developing like he should. He started kicking about 14 weeks here and there but started to be more active this last couple of weeks. Matt has even felt him. We had a small scare with him last week when I had gotten dehydrated and was vomiting even water at that point. I hadn't felt Ayden move so we called the on-call dr and he wanted us right in to the L&D then. So we left our apartment at 2 am and didn't get back home until 6:30ish. They monitored him gave me something for the nausea. Before they let me come home I had to be able to hold down Ice chips. Matt stayed home to make sure that I was okay and that I stayed hydrated.

Ayden has made himself known especially at night. I am getting more of the long term pregnancy pains and cravings but am looking forward to holding him in my arms in 19 more weeks.

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about the delay in updating on what the baby is. We had a real good ultrasound on the 5th. The baby is healthy and growing right on. He was being stubborn with not wanting to let us know what he was. Kept his legs crossed at his ankles most of the appointment. We finally towards the end got to see that he was a boy. We have been busy looking at names and looking at baby stuff for him.

We have decided a name for our little boy. His name will be Ayden Lyle Wolfsfeld. Origins of his name is Latin, Greek and German. Meaning is Little Fire; From the Island; In a wolves field. We are very excited for June 8th to come for Ayden to be born and in our arms.

We have another ultrasound on February 2nd to see our little guy again.

So the countdown starts......

So we have our appointment for an ultrasound and gender scan scheduled for Wednesday at 10:20 am. I just got off the phone with Matt and he states "Only 1.5 days" at first I wasn't sure what I was hearing. He said it again and of course I caught on...I really can't tell who is more excited about the ultrasound me or him. We are excited to find out was we are having....My feelings are still very strong towards girl. I have slowly started buying a few things here and there for the baby. I feel safe enough to do so now that we are out of the 1st trimester. I will post pictures later of what I have purchased and links to the baby registries that we have so far. We are doing many different ones since we have family across the country. I will hopefully have a lot of great news on Wednesday when we get home from the Ultrasound.

We even have a list of names that we have started that we will need help down sizing once we know if boy or girl. I will value any opinions that you may have. I am grateful for all of our friends and family that we have around us.
